Partial Transcript of Interview with Seven Brown

Eric Michaels: When should preventative skin care treatments begin?

Seven Brown: Well, I will tell you. Most people think that they should start well into their 20's and 30's but I am of the philosophy if you start as early as your teens especially during the time when you are getting a lot of sun when people are outdoors a lot - with sunscreen and a good cleansing routine you are ahead of the game. Then once you get into your 20's you can start with your monthly facials and of course continue good exercise and nutrition - so I would say prevention starts teen years and carries into the late 20's.

Eric Michaels: What is the best way to take care of a pimple or many pimples?

Seven Brown: The best way to do it is with a spot treatment. A spot treatment means exactly that! Where the lesion is you are going to apply probably what you can by from the store or beauty counter to that area and what it's going to do is going to dry the area up in a safe way and allow the area to heal. Most people tend to use things like toothpaste to compensate for that which is really, really bad because it will dry out the skin and it also burns it and if you are going to do a bathroom extraction please use steam to warm the skin up, the the contents can come out a little bit easier.

Eric Michaels: Why do I need sunscreen if there is spf in my makeup?... and of course that's for the women!

Seven Brown: And yes that is definitely for the women. Let's say you have a 15 spf on your eye shadow - it only goes over your eye. Foundation is usually applied with fingertips or sponge and it is not a complete application so you don't have the protection that you really need. So what I am saying is, not bad mouthing the makeup with spf because I think that is a plus and it can help but you definelty need an spf before that.

    To All Who View,

With great dismay, this site would not allow me to rate this interview a five which is most surely deserves. This is most positively a five star interview. Ms. Brown hits the nail on the head every time. I respect her directness and honesty. Most people do not realize how important our skin is, and I hope Ms. Brown has many more interviews to educate us. As I too love everything about skin I will be asking her many questions via her website SEVENBROWN.COM. She is also on Twitter and you can ASKSEVEN anytime and anything about skin. And of course she is available on FACEBOOK. Her motto is SKIN IS THE TRUTH. And my opinion of her knowledge is she is SERIOUSLY and PASSIONATLEY SKIN. I am sure everyone will get all the knowledge they want just by listening and asking The talented MS. SEVEN BROWN.

I hope this site will allow me to rate this interview what it truly deserves. POSITIVELY FIVE
